Joseph Joseph Mezzaluna Folding Herb Chopper, Green

Highly recommend. This mezzaluna is just right. It's super sharp and makes very quick work of herbs, onions, anchovies, nuts etc. Right tool for the job when you need just a little bit of something that's not worth the hassle of the food processor. Best of all... the handles fold to protect the cutting surface and it fits neatly and safely in a drawer! Great product design!!!!!Caution when getting it out of the package though. The blade is exposed and if you're not careful... it's easy to get a nasty cut. Only improvement would be is to package it with handles closed over the blade. Just think... that would improve safety and save on package size. :-)

The rocker blade with a handle on each side makes it very easy to chop fresh herbs. I have severe nerve compression in hands and arms and tendonitis in wrists and find this much easier to use than a Knife. I purchased this particular one elsewhere for 5 years, and it is still sharp and has no suffered no damage. I wash it by hand; it is easy to clean. I purchased this one as a gift knowing it was a good buy at the sale price offered this past December, and bought a 2nd one to keep for my future self.I highly recommend this product and find it very ergonomic with a quality blade.

I was surprised at how useful a mezzaluna seems to be. Chopping herbs pretty finely is a breeze, and I have even made small batches of pesto and tapenade with no problem. But it’s got a small blade, so it’s more suited to small quantities.I love the fact that the handles fold in to protect the blade. I tend to lose separate protectors fairly quickly, and this blade is sharp.

My grandkids used one in Italy and wanted one for home.

Starting with the pros.. it's sharp, the folding mechanism works well and is really cool..Cons... flimsy and doesn't feel good in the hand. It's too small.

This mezzaluna (half-moon) herb chopper is quite handy. I appreciate a lot of Joseph Joseph's products and this is one of them.I used to use a knife when chopping up herbs, but there's always the risk of accidentally cutting yourself. With both hands on the chopper handles, your hands are nowhere near the blade's path. It does take some getting used to because you are used to holding things a certain way and have to relearn how to cut herbs differently. When you start chopping, you will be surprised at how sharp and how well this cuts. I cut parsley a lot and this cuts easily and brilliantly. I felt like a kid learning something new for the first time.When you're done with it, you can rinse it off—and be careful when washing this because it swings back and forth. I suggest holding it by the blade. Once dry, fold it in to cover itself and protect the blade. This design takes up very little room in your kitchen drawer.This is well-made and sturdy and comes in multiple colors. I chose the green model as it helps to visually tell people it should be used for chopping green things. Recommended.

I ordered this after I saw it at a friend's house.Perfect for cutting pizza! Highly recommend

It's a bit flimsy. The handles folding down seemed like a good idea, but they don't stay in place while using.
