SEI Bird and Branch Antique White Fireplace Screen

I did not purchase it to use as a fireplace screen. This item will do very nicely for me be because it will actually be used as a sort of "functional" wall hanging/novelty decoration. Note: if you are planning to attach the feet and set it on the floor for use as a fireplace screen, in my opinion the feet are small for this heavy item and I think it would fall fairly easily if it were bumped by a child or large-ish dog. But for my plans the feet are not an issue. Also, the color is darker than in the photos, more yellow/ivory, but again that suits my purpose just fine.

Minus one star because the "white" is misleading. It's actually a light beige color, I'd even say darker than "cream." I have it against a white marble fireplace, with its cool coloring, and the whiteness definitely doesn't match. If you need true-white, you may need to paint this one.That said, it's very pretty and elegant. I'm not sure that it'll prevent my cats from trying to enter the fireplace, however, so I must subtract another star. If you have small pets, you may need to add a regular screen on the back of it.

The fireplace screen gives a beautiful effect to the room, as I was hoping. The color is a little more on the cream side than it appeared, though--more antique looking in color than off white. The only thing I wish was better is that the screen is not totally level with the legs attached so it tilts a bit. Not too noticeable though. The service and turn around time were perfect. Great price on this site when compared to others!

My screen came slightly rusty and with one bird broken off. But I kind of like the rust- makes it look like an antique. I have not figured out how to attach the broken off bird, but I like the screen well enough to keep it. Beautiful in front of the fireplace.

Ours arrived with one of the birds broken off. But we didn't want to deal with the hassle of returning a big, heavy fireplace screen, so we are using it anyway. It's very pretty, even without the extra bird. It really brightens up our fireplace area.

Decorative and pretty, but...Came with a broken piece. Didn't return but instructions to return look easy.One of the bolts to hold on feet is machined poorly so nut doesn't fit.No actual screening material, so not a safe fireplace screen.

Looks good and exactly as I pictured it.I intend on using it just to cover the fireplace (which we never use) and more as a decorative piece. There isn't a screen on it, so wonder how functional it would actually be if you lit a fire behind it.

I have had so many complements on this, it looks great against my light colored stone fireplace. Price was right and shipping took no time.
