Shouldn’t cost so much, but they work for my TED dry eyes.
These are great for sleeping at night as well as for the heat and cooling effect during the day. They keep my eye from being so dry in the mornings from my eyes not being able to fully close, the heating pads help to replenish some of the moisture loss so I can start the day fresh, and the cooling effect helps in the evening to refresh my eyes as well. However, they cannot possibly cost so much to make that you have to charge the customer over $100!

Dark eye mask
This has been a game changer! My optometrist has been after me for years to wear an eye mask to decrease dry eye (syndrome).I’m not claustrophobic, but this product is more like goggles than a whole head eye mask - and is much easier to wear and adjust than other products.I also work night shifts, so sleep during the day. This product is a great light blocking eye mask.

The microwave gel packs burst when heated.
After researching thermal masks, I was impressed by the combination of heating methods, moist heat, and good reviews. In use it is very disappointing. The mask is more structured than others, it is comfortable, and has two heating methods. The benefits end there, and do not justify a price of nearly $100. There are two gel packs, one for each eye. You can choose a chemical reaction pack called an Instant (blue), or a microwave pack called Beads (green). The packs are placed in a small cotton "sock," which is difficult, because the fit is very tight. The covered packs are submerged in water for moist heat. I used the microwave packs, because the chemical packs must be boiled after every use. Then each pack is placed in a socket on the mask. When I used the mask for the second time, one of the gel packs burst in the microwave (1000W) after less than 60 seconds of the recommended 90 seconds. I tried another one and it burst also. In consequence, this mask cannot reliably be used in the microwave. But even if it could, I found a $20 mask from Optase that is more comfortable, has a larger coverage area over the eyes, uses beads that release moisture from the air without soaking, and is much more convenient. Just put the whole mask in the microwave and then put it over your eyes. Bottom line: the Tranquileyes mask is poorly made and very over-priced product.

Works well for task of moist eye packs
This comprehensive package works well for moist packs however, I am sensitive to pressure and they’re a bit intense for meStill, I use them, And they are working very wellThe green ones do not require extra chores to keep them ready for youI think it’s a bit expensive for what you getI don’t see the foam pieces lasting or than a year or soLittle bits of black foam already left on my face after I use themThis should not be happening starting on the first wearing!

Not as useful as I’d like
Pros: The instant gel packs provide regulated low heat that makes for a good warm compress that won’t irritate ocular rosacea. The foam seal on the goggle assists with keeping the heat and moisture on the eyes.Cons: The mask comes apart rather easily. The user has to then put it back together. That’s difficult for me as my vision is 20/400 with my scleral lenses out, which they always are when using the mask. It also doesn’t tend to stay together as well after the first fix. I’ve stopped using it as a sleep mask for this reason, and have gone back to using a lot of ointment at night. The microwaveable gel packs are much less useful than the instant ones. Harder to control the heat. The instant packs are only instant once, then they have to be “reset” by boiling them. Difficult to do when staying in most hotels. The activation disk in the instant packs is also very sensitive. You can activate the pack just by touching the disk. Finally, if you travel a lot, this system is a lot to carry around and keep track of. When I wear out the instant packs, I won’t be replacing it. I’ve already ordered a different mask for travel, which is a bit of a bummer after spending so much on this one.
