Well tested, well worth it.
Bought these socks to wear on a city break to Rome. They really did the business; comfortable and able to cope with all the walking we did. Over 20k steps a day for a week. Not one blister to be seen. I've had issues trying to find socks for walking, until now. Thoroughly recommend.

Really comfortable and protective
Great for hiking socks. Comfortable and if I'm wearing with trainers I just fold over the length. Colours are a bit 'dowdy' but not really a big issue as usually worn under trousers.

Nice socks for walking, but probably not hiking?
Since a trek round the south of Iceland with son and daughter-in-law, where they advised that I buy proper hiking socks and boots, I've found that some socks definitely fit the bill than others. The socks are very comfortable, in lovely girlie colours, although they are thinner than the walking socks I've had previously. The heel and toe are reinforced (double knitted), but there are no rough seams. These socks have elasticated ribbed grips across the foot and ankle to help stop movement and chafing.I haven't tried all the pairs yet, so I can't comment like other reviewers have mentioned that they come in different sizes, but I normally wear a size 6-7 and found the first pair of socks I put on very stretchy and came quite high on my shin.I wouldn't wear these with shorts as they are too high, but they are certainly long enough to cover the ankles on my high boots. As they don't feel as thick, I think you may need a second pair if your boots are a size bigger, but they feel warm and keep my feet cosy although not hot. That said, the walking socks I have cost double what these are, so it may be worth experimenting for value!

exactly what I was looking for
I love the bright colour range. I am wearing the green pair right Now as they mach my waterproof but my favourite pair are the lilac ones. They look great and my feet feel great even after an all day hike. I will definitely buy more.

I got two blisters after wearing them once!
I don't know how these socks got such a high rating but I've never worn a more uncomfortable pair of socks in my life. After only one walk in these socks I had a blister on the pad of my foot and one starting on the heel of the other foot! I was wearing trainers that I've had for over a year and have worn constantly without incurring a blister. The product info states they are not too tight around the ankles... sorry, but that is as incorrect as their claim that these socks are anti-blister. I got pins and needles in my feet and were left with really bad indents in my ankles. So, overall, I would say avoid.
