Great lights, I would recommend!
Update 11/12/22: We had 2 go out this week which I replaced with some spares. I'm glad I had spares of the same type as these are now unavailable and I'm not sure if I could obtain the same color temperature. Not bad after 7 years I would say.Update 05/06/19: So I've been running these since Feb 2017 and after the initial issues there have been no problems. All of the bulbs still dim evenly and none have burned out. Still really pleased with these bulbs!Edit: As of 11/07/17 I have encountered no other issues with the bulbs since these were purchased Jan 2015. None of the remaining bulbs have failed or exhibited any other signs of abnormal function. They operate with no discernible noise or flickering. These lights are on 8-12 hours a day, 7 days a week so they definitely have gotten some use. The power savings is fairly significant compared to the old halogens. We have 2 banks of 3 bulbs in the living room so 6 @ 50 watts is a total of 300 watts on the old halogen bulbs. Comparatively these new bulbs are rated to pull a total of 36 watts for the same two arrays. This is a substantial decrease in power consumption which over time will help with the electricity bill. I would absolutely recommend these bulbs for anyone looking to replace dim-able halogen bulbs.I purchased this six pack of bulbs after testing a single bulb in our track lighting. All of the bulbs dimmed nicely which I was pleased with after reading that some users had to change their dimmer switches. Upon installation however 2 of the six failed within the first 10 minutes. One bulb failed completely and would not illuminate at all after the initial minute, and the other intermittently went out. The second intermittent bulb appears to have some issue related to heat as it would cut out after it warmed up and after it cooled would turn back on.I contacted Amazon who directed me to the manufacturer since I did not want to replace all 6 bulbs. Upon speaking to the manufacturer I was informed I would be receiving two replacement bulbs which I felt was the appropriate response. Today upon arriving home I found an entire 6 pack of bulbs had been shipped by the manufacturer. I greatly appreciate that the manufacturer stood behind their product, and while not necessary the additional bulbs are wonderful to have.I did an informal test of the difference between the 50w halogen bulbs and these LED's. The housing around the lights (glass housing that shrouds the actual bulbs) ran around 160-180 degrees F when ambient surface temps were 70. You could noticeably tell they were on when standing beneath them. The housing for the LED's are around 85 degrees F under the same conditions. There is no noticeable heat emanating from them. These particular Triangle bulbs are brighter than the existing halogens I had in the two tracks. I don't have a light meter but I would hazard they are 10-20% brighter than the halogens. It was a significant enough difference that I could visually distinguish a difference in total output between the two side by side. The tint is nice and not harsh at all. While not as "yellow" as the halogens they replaced, I do believe they are close to the color temperature advertised. The only difference, which did not matter to me is that these do not "leak" light out of the top of the bulb as the halogens do. This means they do not cast a faint light on the ceiling as the halogens they replaced did. I do not mind this as I don't need my ceiling illuminated.Overall I am pleased with these bulbs due to the cost, energy consumption, dimming, and output. Time will tell regarding their actual longevity. Because two of the 6 initially failed I do question the long term durability. It could just be I receive two from a bad batch. The remainder have not exhibited any problems. Should any more fail I will update this review.

Great bulbs, but even better service.
Let me start off by reviewing the product and then the service.First, these bulbs really do make a very nice, warm light with a wide angle. I've not tried them on a dimmer, so I can't speak to that. But they are instant-on, do not get overly warm, make no noticeable noises and seem like an ideal solution for GU10 base bulbs.Second, the service from Saturn products regarding these Triangle Bulbs has proven exceptional. I ordered the 6-pack of these led bulbs and half of them were defective, shutting themselves off after a few minutes of use. Before I had a chance to contact Amazon or the seller (Saturn Products), I was contacted via email by Saturn Products. They said they were made aware that some bulbs may be defective and was just checking in with me. I explained that 3 of the 6 were bad and I received an immediate follow up message from them, informing me that replacements were on the way! Talk about a company trying to take care of their customer. Sure enough, the new bulbs came in and are perfectly fine. If that wasn't enough, Saturn Products also called me up a few days later and left voice mail, as well as sending MORE email, to make sure that I was taken care of and that everything was okay. Despite the issue with the initial order, I would gladly order from Saturn Products again. It is rare to see such a high degree of professionalism and superior customer service. And, that more than makes up for any production issues on the original order.

More like 3300k - See attached picture for First Gen VS Second Gen
I own the 1st Gen of the 6-watt 3000k version and love it. I want to install another set of track light in the living room and I wanted to order another set of bulbs. Unfortunately the one I had (shown in pic) is no longer available. This 2nd gen claimed to be 6-watt 3000k so I expected it to match well with the first Gen.Well, I was wrong. Upon opening, I noticed the 2nd Gen is much lighter than the 1st Gen (same price from 2 yrs ago). The 1st Gen is heavy, felt like a metal construction with heatsink attached around the rim of the bulbs. This 2nd Gen is light and flimsy with nothing but plastic on the rim. The color is obviously cooler than the first Gen. I tested them using custom WB with my dSLR and found out the 1st Gen is 3100k and the 2nd Gen is at 3300k, which is pretty blue. The worst is the buzzing noise when I have them dimmed down between 20-70% bright. It also blinks once every hour or so. I NEVER had this problem with the 1st Gen. The only good thing is that it is a hair brighter than the 1st Gen. I don't like these so I ordered the 8-watt 2700k version. They are solid made, bright and wide but then they are much warmer, so they don't match the rest of the lighting I have in the kitchen/living room. I have no option but stuck with these lights now. Big disappointment on Triangle bulbs.[UPDATE]: After a few days of installation and monitoring, I changed my review to 1 star because I noticed these LED flashes (not flicker but blink once every 5-10 mins). This has NOTHING to do with my dimmer switch because it is the same switch that I used for the First Gen of these LED and I never had problem in the past 2 years. I'm returning these LEDs.[UPDATE #2]: I contacted Triangle Bulbs and they were nice enough offer me a replacement to the First gen bulbs that they still carry at their warehouse. I sent back the 2nd Gen and new ones came in after a week. I open the box and realized these "left over" first-gen bulbs are all opened-box/customer returns bulbs. Anyway, I hooked them up and they match my excising first-gen bulbs from 2 years ago. Yes they are not as bright and warmer. But they are quiet and no flickering. I only wish I was replacing with new first-gen, not bulbs that have potential problems. Anyway, I do appreciate they efforts.
