Perfect Bread Bin
After purchasing a bread maker to avoid the additives in store-bought bread, I realised I also needed a bread bin to keep my homemade bread fresh. This bread bin has proven to be perfect for the task. It is sturdy and effectively maintains the freshness of the bread. One of the standout features is the handy guides for cutting the perfect slice, which are ideal for the various types of bread I make. I find the thickness of the slices to be just right. Cleaning is a breeze; it can be easily wiped out or rinsed in the sink and left to dry. I appreciate the small vents on the sides that allow a bit of air circulation, which helps in keeping the bread in optimal condition. I had read some reviews mentioning that the bread bin moves around during use. However, I have not encountered this issue, likely because I use a high-quality bread knife and let the knife do the work. As shown in the photos, I have had no problems with cutting the bread. Additionally, as someone with a tremor, the guides on this bread bin have been indispensable, preventing cut fingers and uneven slices. The bin is spacious enough to accommodate longer loaves, and its clear design allows guests to see the fresh bread inside. The materials used are robust and durable, making this bread bin a great value for the price. My only criticism would be as I use a sharpe knife it does tend to score into the cutting base, but no different than what would happen on a chopping board I guess. Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable bread bin.

Bread box excellent, forget about the slicing guide though
I got a Panasonic breadmaker fairly recently and it's brilliant. However, if you don't eat the bread all in one go, it goes stale and hard quite quickly. Therefore, I was looking for something to store the bread in until it is used. "Normal" breadbins didn't seem appropriate, so I ended up going for this one with the bread slicing guide as well. It's a tale of two halves. The slicing guide worked OK to begin with but was very flimsy. Within a couple of weeks of use, several of the plastic guide "teeth" had snapped off and it was quickly abandoned. I ended up having to dig out my old electric knife to help me to cut the bread, and I now slice the fresh bread up using that instead (and with care and practice you can slice it just fine even when it is very hot and just out of the breadmaker!) However, the acrylic bread box is still in use every week and works really well. Because it has a couple of ventilation holes in it, it is OK for bread that is still a bit warm (I normally put a bit of kitchen towel under the bread to soak up any condensation just in case) and it really does keep the bread fresh for 3-4 days. Not only fresh, but soft as well. As a result, I can make a loaf on a Monday and still be making sandwiches with it for work on Wednesday. Brilliant bread storage bin with handy slicing guide.
Husband loves making bread with our Russell Hobbs bread machine. The smell of fresh bread baking wafting round the house is lovely, and it works out fairly economical compared to buying bread from the supermarket. Plus we know exactly what ingredients are in it. Unfortunately he is terrible at slicing straight and wrapping the bread up. The next person that comes along (usually me) gets a slice that is wonky as they attempt to straighten up the massacre left previously. The kitchencraft bread bin is great. Stores the bread well and has a handy slicing guide so even the most cack handed person can get a good slice of bread for toast or sandwiches. I love the fact that it is clear as well so, hubby can see immediately when to get the next loaf baking in the bread machine. Size is adjustable so it takes up less space as your family demolish the bread.

Not bad for the price I paid
It's often difficult to decide if an unknown product is any good based on amazon reviews, even if it's got a high rating you wonder why does it have so many one star reviews, but I decided to get this product and it's really not that bad. I have recently got a bread maker so I needed not only a bread bin but something to help me cut bread so that I did not have slices that were wedged door stops. The bread bin is compact and does the job of keeping the bread fresh (not sure for how long as our bread does get eaten quite quickly). Unfortunately a medium size loaf only just fits so it's no good for a large one. The bread slicing guide stores inside the bread bin, you can give yourself and extra cm of height if you don't keep the slicing guide in the bin with the bread, but it's so handy to have it there you may not want to leave it out. The slicing guide is made of plastic so it's not the strongest item. I can see how you could easily break the slicing guides, but if you're careful the plastic guides will vibrate a little but not break. I've only been using the guide for a few weeks so we will see how it deteriorates over time but so far so good. The slicing guides are all one size and make ether very thin or very thick slices (if you cut over two slice guides), however if you cut the end as a thin slice and then push the bread into the end plate of the guide (filling in each gap made by the bread knife) you can get a reasonable sized slice. I've been using the guide on a wooden surface and it does not slip around as some of the reviewers have claimed. All in all this is a good but cheap item and my guess is some people wanted better quality but for that I think you need a wooden or metal guild which are far more expensive. I would not get this product for cutting bread purchased from a bakery as it's clearly designed to be used with bread maker sized bread. If you make your own bread this is a good and cheap solution for storage and uniform slicing. I paid just over ten pounds for it not the current listed price of about fourteen pounds, not sure I would buy it for that price, I might just pay an extra few pounds to get the wood guide instead.

Volle Punktzahl.

The slice guide is easy to use, but I find it better to press the loaf up against the backing and slice from that end instead. That way the loaf doesn't shift around as much while I'm cutting it, and as a result the slices are pretty much guaranteed to be even. The bread is kept fresh on my countertop in my kitchen environment, and I like having the little vents on both sides of the box.

j'apprécie beaucoup que la boîte s'adapte à la grandeur du pain. Les ouvertures permettent un aération et le pain reste bon jusqu'à la fin !!. je le recommande

I bake most of my own bread-either using Rhodes pre-frozen dough or homemade. I was using large baggies to store the bread but the downsize to this is; 1) the baggie creates moisture thereby making the bread go bad quicker, 2) you need to remove the bread from the bag and use a cutting board to cut slices, and 3) it adds another plastic bag to landfills because when the loaf is gone most people will just throw the bag out and get a new one when needed! So when I saw this bread box I liked the size and functionality based on the description and I must say the description did not disappoint. This box keeps the bread fresh for about a week, does well in a dish washer (thereby saving just a little space in the landfill), does not take up a lot of counter space and provides a guide(s) for slicing evenly sliced pieces of bread - so no need for a cutting board and uneven slices! I say guides for slicing because I like the fact that you can slice a "thin" to "thick" slice based on individual likes. This is done by placing the knife into the grooves provided for slicing. So every family member can enjoy fresh bread at the desired thickness. Lastly, I recommend when slicing the bread use a serrated knife with a blade at least 7 in. in length and gently hold the sides of the plastic slice guide together. This I have found provides the easiest method of slicing an evenly perfect slice of bread. The only negative comment I might have is similar to other postings; homemade bread does tend to "rise" higher so if this breadbox was even just 1 to 2 inch taller there could not be a better. I get around this by not allowing my bread to rise that tall - but this is a personal preference.
