Fireball (Ltd) (Ogv) [VINYL]

Always good to listen to the original line-up of Deep Purple's band members. I would not describe this album as 'heavy' it makes for some easier listening. I remember Ian Gillan hosted a rock show for BBC Radio 2 in the evenings some years ago. I hoped he would continue to host these shows as they were so good to listen to because of his overall knowledge of rock music and the fact that he is very articulate. If/when Ian Gillan is tired of touring etc. I hope he might consider hosting a similar rock music show again, on a permanent basis if at all possible.

Fireball was the second vinyl album I ever bought, when I was 13 years old ( my first was Disraeli Gears, the second was Fireball and the third was John Mayall - Blues from Laurel Canyon). Fireball was and still is one of my favourite deep purple albums (I have all of the original releases and some of the later issues - even some of the unfortunately-awful live ones with Bolin and Hughes).As other viewers have commented, this version is missing "Demon's Eye" and features "Strange Kind of Woman" instead. I miss "demon's eye", but to talk of the music itself is very subjective.I am really surprised and disappointed by the sound quality - I find it difficult to explain, but to my ears at least it simply sounds less crisp and clear than, for example, the EMI 25th Anniversary edition, almost muddier.It is certainly not what I expected from a gold disk.I have given this 3-stars because it is Fireball and I consider it a great album, but I doubt if I will listen to this particular version very often.

Another record received with obvious physical damage from the pressing plant. Even with a very quick check would have been picked up before sleeving. Will keep my fingers crossed for the replacement!. Great album though and would have got 5 stars if not for the flaws.Update.Have now received a replacement copy which is nigh on perfect, Surface noise free with very few pops and clicks. Now a happy Bunny and is now worthy of five stars.

It’s pretty close but I feel it’s slightly better produced than my original 1971 version on black vinyl. This 180 gram purple colour looks a bit weird but plays well with no warping or back ground noise, the cover has been printed better than my old copy with fresh colours .

Great Album , but obviously badly pressed . It went skipping across side one , quick chat with Amazon replacment sent the next day same problem . Does Quality control exsist in the Vinyl Album world ?

Excellent Deep Purple record in the top form. Pure power and great ideas and amazing musicians skills. Great unfortunately passed when musicians were composing and playing their songs don'the like today when music is produce on computers

Perhaps it's my age but when I had the vinyl of this album in the 70s it had the track " Demons Eye " on it, one of my favourites. For some reason the cd doesn't. A bit of a disappointment but otherwise it's a cracker of an album.

Wer die heutigen, neuen Vinyl Re-Issues seiner alten Lieblings-Alben erhört, die erfreulicherweise wieder zu Hauff erhältlich sind, wird sich ob der vordergründig "dynamisierten" Art ihres Sounds schon öfters gedacht haben, so pur und schön wie die alten klingen sie nicht. Und damit hat man sehr oft recht, denn digital überarbeitetes Vinyl klingt zwar klar, dynamisch und sauber, lässt aber das Flair des Ur-Vinyls nur zu oft schwer vermissen.In diese Falle gerät man mit dieser Vinyl-Ausgabe von "Fireball" nicht! Sie klingt so verdammt pur und authentisch, als hätte man das Album 1971 in einem Plattenladen in England gekauft, als es dort bis auf Platz 1 der Album-Charts hochging!Für mich stand dieses Werk immer im Schatten seines Nachfolgers "Machine Head", da es eher mannigfaltige Melodien-Gefüge in Rock aufweist denn klar definierte Rock-Songs. Aber das sehe ich heute anders. Heute schätze ich diese beinahe sphärisch wirkenden Songs, die zwar schon in die Richtung eines konkreteren Hard Rock Stils zeigen, aber mit viel mehr altem Hippie-Flair und frühen Glam-Akzenten doch in einer ganz anderen, freieren Liga spielen, weitaus mehr. Am meisten scheint mir hier der gute Jon Lord seinen Kopf durchgesetzt zu haben, denn viele Passagen klingen ganz nach seinen Fantasie getränkten Sound-Vorstellungen. Wenn es ein Album gibt das Deep Purple in musikalisch komplexester aber auch Augen zwinkernder Form PUREST verkörpert, dann ist es genau Fireball! Chapeau!!!Dieses neue Vinyl ist spitze! Der Klang kommt zwar relativ leise, dafür völlig original. Keinerlei Übersteuerung, nicht die geringste Spur von digitaler "Verschlimmbesserung". Das Falt Cover sieht super aus und greift sich genauso an. Als wäre es aus glattem, fein geprägtem Leder. Diese Edition kann ich jedem wärmstens ans Herz legen!

...mich als Kind dieser Zeit (57er Jahrgang) eine meiner Topgruppen. Hatte den Titel damals als LP, ging leider verloren beim oftmaligenübersiedeln, aber als Cd ja auch anhörbar ;). Ich finde, das ist halt noch echte, wirkliche Musik, kein Computersound!

Este disco fue de los mas vendidos en el país de origen de la banda (Inglaterra) cuando salió, curiosamente en Estados Unidos no tuvo tanto éxito. Aunque no llega en popularidad como su obra maestra Machine Head, este LP es puro hard rock. Tiene los teclados de Jon Lord, pero la guitarra de Richie Blackmore resalta en las composiciones y en la producción. Es un rock mas crudo y rudo, excelente disco, no lo había escuchado hasta ahora. Para mi gusto m, en conjunto, me gusta mas que "Burn" e "In Rock". En cuanto a la calidad del disco, del vinil, excelente, sin ruidos y con muy buen sonido, hasta copiaron la rugosidad de la pasta que tenía la edición original de los 70s.

grande album, non il migliore della mark II (In rock, Machine Head, Perfect strangers per non parlare di made in japan sono innarrivabili ) . the mule, la title track, fools, No one came i brani migliori. brani che evidenziano grande originalità come il country, insolito per la band di Anyone's daughter. La versione vinile ricalca la prima stampa inglese ed è di gran lunga superiore con i 180g rispetto ai vinili ristampati orribilmente negli anni '80. Acquisto obbligato come tutta la discografia dei Deep Purple fino a purpendicular del 1996 (non tralasciando gli immensi live!) per chi ama e pretende di conoscere il rock. chi non lo fa si accontenti ma avrà perso il meglio......

Entusiasta già solo a vederlo: riproduzione fedele all'originale sia per quanto riguarda la copertina molto curata sia per il vinile da 180 grammi, perfetto con la sua bella etichetta verde Harvest. La prima sensazione all'ascolto è buona, mi riservo di ascoltarlo ulteriormente in tranquillità. Amazon perfetta come sempre per quanto riguarda la spedizione e l'imballo.

Es la edición UK, la canción 3 es Demon's eye, cuando en la descripción viene Strange Kind Of Woman. La portada real del disco es la que subí en la foto.Buen calidad de audio disco, excepto la canción Fools tiene mucho ruido.Compré el vinilo con ASIN: B017OOZCY8

Uno de los mejores discos de Deep Purple.Ademas por precio mas económico, que en Fnac o El Corte Ingles.Normalmente piden por este lp. mucho mas.Como disco es una joya, no tan facil de encontrar.

Album storico del Mark II dei DP, solo un filino al di sotto di In Rock, Machine Head e Made in JPN. Da avere a prescindere dai gusti, nulla da recensire oltre su questo Classicone dell' Hard Rock anni '70. Il vinile é giunto in tempo e in perfette condizioni. Il suono é corposo quanto basta per fare apprezzare tutte le sfumature musicali dell' album. Soddisfattissimo del mio acquisto, lo consiglio vivamente.

Muy bien el envío y muy bien esta reedición: la textura de la cubierta, imágenes, buen sonido... ¡Y un punto extra porque no me esperaba el vinilo de color morado!Sobre el disco, no hay mucho que decir, es una joya.

Excellent album - feels like it influenced Judas Priest's 'Stained Class' with similar opening & production! This is often overshadowed by being sandwiched between 2 classic albums, but just as essential as those.

Ho l'originale dell'epoca, ridotto molto male per i continui ascolti, pertanto l'ho acquistato molto volentieri ed ho avuto la sorpresa di trovarci anche i testi.Grande e "sonoro" album dei Deep Purple che non può mancare in una buona collezione.

Für alle die diese Musik vor langer Zeit hörten. Richtig analog und der dazugehörigen Dynamik. Nix gegen digital, aber so hört es sich besser an. Toll "neugepresst".

Très bonne remasterisation pour ce chef-d’œuvre de Deep Purple. Moins compressée que sur la version CD remasterisée 25th Anniversary de 96 (très bonne également), la guitare est moins en avant par rapport au clavier. Je trouve le mix un peu plus équilibré et je pense qu'on est proche du mix studio originel. La pochette à une texture sympa mais quelques détails des images semblent un peu effacés par rapport à mon pressage français de 71. Un liner notes est intégré et le vinyle est violet.
