Using it for over 35 years!!! Yep, long time.
Long story short, I have used this on at least 15 cars I've owned over the years. Very simple to use, goes on easy (just use the applicator that comes with it), work in sections, leave it on enough for light haze, buff with microfiber towel (we used a cotton tshirt back in the day FYI), and it shines that deep wet look. This works best when hand applied to a new car and keep it going every 6 months the life of the car. Always wash the car thoroughly before applying, no need for anything else unless car is older. What it will not do: It does not give a wet look to paint that the clear coat is gone, or paint is old with no history of being waxed/polished or just dull to begin with. I'd recommend Duragloss Clear Coat Polish and Cleaner product for that, and even then, if more than just road film, it probably will not work. This is not magic stuff. Take your car to a professional detailer if looking restoration of shine. How have I used this for so long? This product came with a paint warranty on a Honda I bought in the late 80's. As long as I had record of using this stuff every 6 months, they warranted the paint for as long as I owned it. I got a free bottle anytime I needed it through the program. It was first time ever hearing about Duragloss and day I sold that car 6 years later it looked like new and I did not have a garage back then either. The key is to use it every 6 months and in my area, I did it before the hot summer and then again before winter.Duragloss is a synthetic polymer/wax formula, so no carnuba wax. You can use it in bright sunshine but I recommend hand polish and buff. It simply looks the best to me with this product.I've tried all the fancy labels and marketing hype, and even used good old Turtle Wax. Almost anything will give a shine to a nicely kept car. (I'm also a fan of Meguiar's products). What I look for is longevity protection and no change in appearance after years of use and this product does that. It is designed for clear coats which on today's car is what you are polishing, not the colored paint. If you are seeing something different on black paint that you don't see on white paint, might be something with your clear coat or fact you didn't buff all the polish off. My wife's car is black and my car is pearl white. I can see no difference only the black looks like a deeper shine just due to color.Give it a try and look at all their products. Been very pleased with their leather conditioner too.

There are many products that will do a fine job of polishing
There are many products that will do a fine job of polishing, shining and protecting your car's finish. Too many, perhaps...it is easy to obsess over finding the best. I've collected shelves of them.I've come to the conclusion after using Duragloss products to maintain and protect the finishes of my older, daily driven cars for the last 2 years that you just can't do any better. Except for some chips and scratches here and there, the paint on my 2006 Highlander and 2001 Frontier looks as good as the day I bought them.Duragloss 111 is much like the others: it is easy to apply, easy to remove and leaves a gleaming finish. It protects against uv, bugs and bird poop. Lasts for months. Excellent stuff. It has exceeded my expectations and simplified my choice of car detailing products. Not only excellent performers, they are also very reasonably priced. If you are serious about protecting your finish and want it to look great, I believe you only need these products: a clay bar (to clean the paint thoroughly), Duragloss 601, 105 (or111), and 951 (Aquawax). The key is getting down to clean paint for the first application. A clay bar does this and is easy to do. 601 + either 111 or 105 and you're good to go. To maintain the protection, a gentle car wash followed with an application of Aquawax and you get that luster right back. It's ridiculously easyIn addition to these products, I love their car wash (901), bug remover, polish/cleaner (501) and detail spray.Older cars may need slight scratching and other imperfections corrected. A dual action polisher and various abrasive polishes are pretty much necessary to really do a good job of this...but it's not hard to do and is very satisfying. Again, Duragloss finish products will shine and protect clean, polished paint very well.111 is an excellent product.

The very best car polish
I have used Duragloss for years and I wax my car twice a year. It is easy to apply and easy to buff. Duragloss is hard to find so I am glad Amazon carries it.

I am sold on DG112, A must have
This product is really, really good IMHO. The paint finish certainly has a very deep gloss and wet look, This was my first time using DG-112 or DG-111 as it is known in other circles. Even though I have used other DG products before, for some unknown reason I have never tried DG112 and I should of tried this product sooner.Steps to application:1- I first washed the car using DG-901 utilizing the two bucket method,2- I clayed the entire paint finish.3- I applied DG-501 via white pad with PC-7424XP. Waited 8 hours for DG-501 to fully cure.4- Applied DG-112 via blue pad and again PC-7424XP.I found that if I waited 45 minutes for DG-112 to be fully dry it is easier to remove. The finish looked nice at first but overnight the car was parked in the garage the next day the paint finish looked much better than the day before. I am sold even though this is considered an old product compared to other sealant/wax trends this is simply a product that speaks for itself. The paint finish certainly has a very deep gloss and wet look.

The bonding agent went on easily. The clear coat polish went on much like ...
I decided to give Duragloss 601 bonding agent and 111 Clear coat polish. I washed the vehicle and clayed the roof, trunk and top edges. The bonding agent went on easily. The clear coat polish went on much like a typical wax. I completed the process with a coat of carnuba paste wax. It has been about three weeks since I completed the process. The end result was a higher quality gloss finish than you might experience with a high quality wax alone. I have since used a detailing spray to keep vehicle looking while removing light dust on the vehicle. The vehicle was outside during a t storm. When I came outside the vehicle still maintained a great shine as if it had just been waxed, no spots. After a short trip on the interstate the vehicle had insects on the front. The detailing spray and wiping easily removed the bugs. Very satisfied with the performance of the products.
