Love love LOVE this book!
This book is very relatable and funny. I frist read Belly Laughs before I had my first kiddo. It was a quick easy read and so funny. I couldn’t put it down. I wanted more! Got this book and loved it! Keep in mind I was in my early 20’s with no real responsibilities. I recently picked up the book again 15 years later (now married with kiddos with real responsibilities) this book is even more relatable and made me laugh harder. I bought this for my friends daughter- in- law, who is going through the thick of “adulting” in her 20’s with this whirlwind of marriage and baby. Hope she gets a great kick out of it as I did. #mentalbreak

Girls Night Out
Like the author, Jenny McCarthy, I was also raised Catholic in a Chicago suburb and attended Southern Illinois University. This is what compelled me to read "Life Laughs," her third book. She starts out the essay collection with a warning, preparing readers for her "honesty," as she discusses a variety of personal topics in a brash, "crude, raw, and sometimes dirty" manner. Truly, it's an honest description of her simple, conversational writing. The first three quarters of the column-like compositions focus on marriage, and there are several woman vs. man scenarios typical to new relationships. As the marriage ages, the child is born, body parts start to sag, and then one day she rolls over in bed "and saw a nose with hair sticking out that was snoring with some pretty bad morning breath." There's no linear pattern to the collection, it's sort of random and all over the place, as Jenny goes places others fear to tread. Not knowing what to expect on the next page (a page that might include a caricature of Jenny falling into a toilet) added to the entertainment.Throughout the hour or so it took me to read this bawdy little book, I felt like I was out for drinks with my funniest friends (it wasn't the book club, but definitely the bunco group) and even though I laughed out loud a few times, I have to admit, this gal also managed to bring out my inner prude. "Life Laughs," by Jenny McCarthy is for 30-something women the way "I Feel Bad About My Neck," by Nora Ephron is for 50-something women. She reminds us of the importance of laughing at ourselves, and she's willing to bare it all--even a seeming underlying pain--to do so.Michele Cozzens is the author of It's Not Your Mother's Bridge Club

Love this book!
I had this book in the past but let a friend borrow it who ended up loosing it in a move. I have to say I was bummed because I LOVE this book. I love Jenny and I remember when I first read it I could not keep the book down. I didn't feel like paying full price for a new copy when I read the book before so I decided to get a used one. I never bought anything off Amazon used but i'm glad I did. The price was awesome and it was in great condition and now i'm satisfied to have the book again. It's always fun to whip it out on a rainy day when bored to get a good laugh. A lot of stuff you can relate to which makes it even more hilarious.

Keeps Getting Better....
This is the third book of Jenny's that I've read and I still loved it! This book was great! It still has the same humor and laugh out loud moments but it's interesting to hear her views on other topics other than motherhood, In it she talks about the struggles with her marraige falling apart, the beggining stages of autisim, and getting back in the dating world. I always look forward to McCaarthy's books...and I haven't been dissapointed yet.

HILARIOUS!!!
Jenny McCarthy is raw, funny, blunt and quite frankly, dirty. She reveals it all in this light, funny book. From relationships and dating to cooking mishaps and zits, she exposes herself as a normal woman working to be a mom, a wife, and an individual at the same time. It will literally have you laughing out loud (don't spill your wine) as she describes her life and how funny the little things can be.

Good laughs
I bought this as a funny read for my wife, but then wound up reading it before her. Jenny is really funny as she describes everyday nuiances of life. A bit on the bawdy side, but will make you laugh out loud. Funny to see a chick that is so hot, be so down to earth about things in life we have all thought and wondered about. I recommend it for wives and husbands - thanks Jenny!
