It’s been two full days of use and the shedding has decreased visibly. She would shed handfuls every time you touched her or patted her. We would have piles of fine fur everywhere. Our groomer told us it wasn’t the summer blow-out as it was too early. He explained it was dry skin. So we tried a couple things and just felt like we spent a bunch of money for nothing. I saw this and thought give it a try. She licks her bowl completely clean and loves it. And honestly a day in I was thinking I was crazy because I wasn’t seeing the hair come off so easily.

This stuff works! I used it just as directed, fed to my dog twice a day for a month and now daily for her body weight. She has long hair, golden retriever mix, she still sheds some but its a very big noticeable difference in the decrease of her shedding!!

My mom's dog still sheds a lot but he loves the flavor and takes it easily. The bottle is big and lasts quite some time

I subscribed for delivery of this product back in Summer 2017. The pricing at that time would range from $5-$10. However, in July/August 2022, the prices raised to almost twice as much, so I cancelled my subscription. Since then, I tried 2 other brands for dogs of similar pricing in the $20s before I took a different approach.Every dog is different. My dog's skin was really dry and hair was falling out to the point that managing meant bathing 1-2 times a week. I changed his diet to human-grade ingredients that I then prepared into meals myself. It did help, but I knew he still needed oils. I did some reading and watched some vets' advice online. I realized the issue was not all oils are created equal as far as their sources (i.e., which plant or which animal) and how they are processed. I began buying separate types of oils (human-grade) and increased the dosing above the typical recommendations. My dog's skin & coat are much better now and it will take some more time to get back to what it was before.Point is this product blends 4 oils (2 of which are fish oils) along with other vitamins and minerals. You can't tell what the percent composition of each ingredient, what additional processing that had to happen in order to mix well, and because it is all mixed together you can't tell which ingredients help or harm you dog (if any of them even do harm). Giving my dog oils of multiple types is more expensive all together (obviously because the dosing is higher than label recommendations and I choose human-grade products that were processed for optimal health benefits), but each individual oil of the same volume is about half the cost of this product. Plus, I have a lot more control of what my dog is consuming.If you really don't have the time to research or put the effort into it, then buying & using this product is an okay alternative.

I wish I could give this 50 stars!!! I've tried a few of these products in the past and they never worked at all. Our dogs seem to be shedding worse than ever so I decided to try Shed X since it had such great reviews. Well, after 3 weeks we noticed a big difference in the shedding of our 50# dog and our 20# dog!! It's been 6 weeks now and we are VERY PLEASED!!!! We also noticed last week after their bath, first one since starting Shed X, they were VERY soft!!! Our larger dog never was soft but she is now and our other dog is extra soft! We have leather furniture and we used to have to use a hand vac on it after the dogs were on it, even for 5 min, before we sat down but not any more! We give our 20# girl 1 TBL on her food, and our 50# girl, 2 TBL on her food and they love it. We are super impressed with this product and we will not be without it as long as we have dogs that shed.

My dog was an extreme shedder! She is white, and there were always hairs everywhere. Within a week of trying this product, her shedding almost came to a complete stop and she loves the taste of it. It makes my life a lot easier.

My girl is an 85lb pit/lab mix that believes her goal in life is to shed 24/7/365. That being said, we’ve gone through many trials and fails searching for a supplement that would at least help a littlesince rescuing her almost 3 years ago.As for the flavor: I can report she absolutely loved the taste of this product mixed in with her food and would even lick the bowl clean.As for the effect: After using as directed for 2.5 weeks I did NOT see any difference in shedding at all.Disclaimer: This product was only used for 2.5 weeks due to my girl experiencing extreme diarrhea with occasional vomiting. And when I say “extreme”, I’m referring to EXTREME EXPLOSIVE diarrhea that she couldn’t always control.The first few days using this product, she was completely fine. Starting around maybe day 4 is when the explosions began along with a little vomiting here and there. At first I thought it was my leftover Chinese food that my boyfriend snuck her behind my back. He didn’t realize my dish was spicy and let her polish off about half of my meal. Naturally my girl’s symptoms made sense at the time, so I switched out her regular dog food with rice and plain chicken and continued adding this supplement to her food. After 2 days on the new diet, her vomiting stopped, but she was still having diarrhea- just not explosive anymore, so I stopped the chicken, increased the rice a little and decreased the supplement a tad. After a few more days on this diet and no improvement it finally dawned on me that maybe it was the supplement. I immediately stopped use and within 24 hours her diarrhea started changing to loose stool, then soft stool the next day and back to her normal dinosaur solid craps 2 days later. She has never had any reactions to prior supplements we’ve tried for shedding in the past, so it didn’t cross my mind that she was having a bad reaction to this one, and the timing of the forbidden spicy Chinese food consumption made sense at the time. I just feel awful that I put her through that for so long by continuing use.
