Revgear Economy Padded Staff (6-Feet)

Excellent product. My son loves Donatello and wanted to learn the Bo. He's used it everyday since we purchased it and it is holding up nicely.

I'm disappointed by how quickly these are deteriorating. After just an hour of use we're finding that large chunks of the padding are coming out of both staffs. We're not abusing them, per se -- each staff has only hit the other staff and the other combatant. They're a really good length and heft, and I like that they're the same diameter for the entire length, I can just see that we're only going to get a short lifetime of them.

I have purchased this foam Bo along with the slightly more expensive one sold by "Tiger Claw" (Also on Amazon).First off, both seem to be comparable quality (this one may be more durable foam, I'll try to update after Iv'e used it more). A hard enough connection between the two can split this foam, but it's not a guarantee by any means. Definitely do not train with this (or any other foam weapon) against wooden weapons, those will tear it apart quickly.One potential complaint with this is that it's much heavier than my other foam Bo. I don't have a scale small enough, but I'd venture to say it weighs about twice as much as the alternative foam bo. It's very comparable to my 6' tapered 1.25 inch oak staff (advertised weight 2 lb 2 oz.) If you're practicing spins, or want something comparable to a rattan or waxwood staff, you'll probably want the lighter foam bo. If you want something that feels more like a heavy oak staff, this is perfect.

There is barely enough padding to call it that. Maybe an eighth of an inch, and it looks like just a sleeve slipped over a plastic tube so there is absolutely no padding on the tips. The group I practice with won't allow me to use this at all.

Not easily broken. I broke mine during a fit of rage from the US Presidential Election though. Bought another one 20 minutes later. 5/5 would buy again.

Not good for real HEMA training it’s a hallow padded 2” plastic pipe basically. It arrived broken but the seller refunded right away.

This padded Bo is fun to work with. Keeps accidents to a bare minimum cause I have to practice in the living room. It is light and comfortable to hold but handles like the real thing. Can't go wrong with this beauty

I ordered 2 6ft padded staves, I received 2 12 inch padded sticks! plus a $46.00 shipping cost, I am returning them since I got the wrong item, won't likely reorder.

Seems like a solid staff, very flexible though. I bought the 6ft one and length is accurate. Not sure how long it will last but for now it's good. The foam is pretty soft and easy to wear though. 4/5 Stars

Exactly as advertised. Light weight, great flex, perfect practice staff for beginners to learn. A little light but that's the only downfall.
