Great job, smaller than pictured but works just as well & lots more accessories than most.

Perfect for the grandchildren- painting/doodling with no mess! Great to have two 'pens' and all the stencils.

This is the ideal toy to allow your child to safely draw on the floor or the wall, without worry of crayons or felt tip pens ruining paint work or carpeting.The images that are displayed for this item are very misleading however and make the mat appear a lot larger than it is. It is certainly not big enough for three children to lie on with almost their entire body as is shown. Those images have clearly photo shopped children over the product to make it look much larger. The product is actually roughly 39inches x 27.5inches (100cms x 70cms) and is a good size for 1 or 2 small children to lie around the sides of it and draw on it, but it would not fit 2 children completely onto it! Please do not buy this thinking it is a huge rug sized drawing mat, it is not!That aside, the mat comes with 2 of the water pens and a fine brush tipped water brush. There are 8 colourful foam cut out shapes to use as stencils and there is a set of four different coloured stencils that have shapes, a ruler, numbers and letters to stencil onto the mat.The pen tips need to be soaked in water before use and you fill the body of the pen with water. Once the pens are prepared, your child can then draw on the mat, which comes through as a rainbow of colours depending on where they draw on the mat.Depending on how warm it is will depend on how quickly the mat will dry, and drawings can disappear within a few minutes if it is quite warm. After some use the mat can get very wet and you will need to allow longer for the mat to dry, but hanging it near a source of warmth like a radiator makes this process quite quick, so it isn't long before your child can use the mat again and again.The mat can be used on any flat surface at all, including the floor, hung on a wall, or on a table or desk top, as long as there is room to fit the whole mat. The border of the drawing area is as shown in the images, with woodland creatures and a giraffe for some reason... but I do believe there are other varied designs available. The base of this mat is orange.The mat is made of a durable watertight material and is well stitched.

I actually really like this a lot, and for such a good price too!Comes with a few letter stencils, some foam animal pads, a paintbrush tool, and some pen tools.The science is really simple, it's basically a strong colour vinyl print covered by a semi-permeable white mesh - add water and that mesh will become transparent, revealing what's beneath it. It dries out like any other material, returning back to white again.Fill the pen tools with water and draw on the pad, it's really easy, addictive and satisfying. Loads of pure mess free fun for the kids, my nephew loves it. The colours that come through are really bright. At first it took a while for the water to seep through the cotton nib of the pen - it takes some time, but it works fine when the nib has saturated. If you lose the pens, normal paintbrushes dipped in water will work, or your hands, or cotton buds.

This mat is brilliant! It's been down on the floor for the last 2 days and they keep going back to it over and over. The colours that show through when it is wet are clear and vibrant. They love discovering the alphabet and coinciding animals that are hidden around the edge of the white "drawing" area.The mat is rather large, with a bright picture around the edge with a smaller white section for them to "draw." This is plenty big enough for them both to share, both to create their own scribbles and nearly pictures and still plenty of room for me to write their names and a few other random words to try and teach them the beginnings of the alphabet. It dries really quickly so the blank canvas is ready for them again in no time at all.The thin and thick nib and the paintbrush style "pens" give a great bit of variety and they share them well between themselves. I have had a couple of leakages when they have been left on their side, but as it's only water it's not a problem and the mat dries super quick anyway.It also comes with a few foam shapes to draw around and 4 stencils. The stencils come in different shapes - the owl being my favourite - and have the alphabet, numbers and shapes in the middle.My 4 year old has loved drawing pictures and she has "put on make up" and "painted" her legs with the brush. This is excellent mess free fun.It doesn't come in a box, not sure if that would be a problem for some people. Not for me, I can't recommend it enough!

I got this for my daughter's 2 year old, she says:I’m really impressed with this product. I have a two year old who has played with this non stop since we got it. (I know it says 3plus but the pieces aren’t that small).It’s a really good sized ‘canvas’ which means you can join in with your little one water painting together.There are three different mark making implements - two different sized pen style and one paint brush style which gives lots of variation depending on what you want to do.I love that around the edges of the ‘canvas’ there are letters and animals that you can uncover by applying water over them. It’s really easy for little hands to mark make.It works really effectively and then at the end all you need to do is fold it back up and when you come to it again it’s dried and is a blank canvas again.There are also shapes and stencils so once my little one has a good hand grip and his fine motor skills have improved I’m sure he will love these. The stencils are shaped as identifiable things which he already loves.So an excellent product at a very reasonable price, no mess and doesn't take up too much space
